Gileem at the Persian Culture, Food & Arts Exhibition in Schiedam

4 October 2026 | Schiedam, The Netherlands
Gileem is excited to take part in an upcoming celebration of Persian culture, food, art and traditional crafts on Sunday, 4 October 2026, in Schiedam.
This special exhibition brings together different aspects of Persian heritage in one welcoming and creative space, from traditional food and artistic expressions to handmade crafts and cultural experiences.
Gileem: Where Technology Meets Traditional Craft
As part of the event, Gileem will present its work and creative approach to traditional carpet weaving.
Gileem combines traditional craftsmanship with modern technology to make carpet weaving more accessible, creative and engaging for a new generation of makers. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover Gileem’s work, explore our weaving kits and learn more about how technology can support the creative process while keeping the essence of traditional craftsmanship alive.
Live Carpet-Weaving Workshop
One of the highlights of Gileem’s participation will be a live carpet-weaving workshop.
During the workshop, visitors can get closer to the craft of carpet weaving, discover the basic techniques and experience the process themselves. Whether you are already familiar with weaving or simply curious to try something new, the workshop offers an opportunity to slow down, create and connect with a traditional craft.
A Day of Culture, Creativity & Connection
We are especially happy to be part of an event that brings people together around culture, creativity, food and art.
For Gileem, traditional crafts are not only part of history—they can also be a source of creativity, relaxation and connection today. Through our participation, we hope to introduce more people to the beauty of carpet weaving and inspire them to explore it in their own way.
We warmly invite you to join us, discover the exhibition, meet the makers and take part in the creative experience.
